For years, Howard Chen has collaborated with Dutch designer Guido de Groot to create yachts that retain classic Selene ocean-going qualities while introducing softer lines and interiors appealing to European owners. Naval architect James Fwu of JFNA joined the team to develop hull lines, hydrostatics, structural design, stability, performance data, and secure the RINA EU Type Examination Certificate. The design blends modern styling with the reassuring profile of a true ocean vessel. Signature Selene features remain—raised pilothouse, Portuguese bridge, wide upper deck, and safe walk-around side decks, with optional wide-body layouts.
SPACIOUS INTERIOR
The Selene 72 Ocean Explorer combines exterior elegance with a bright, refined interior. Its climate-controlled salon offers high-end comfort and panoramic views while cruising or at anchor. The lower deck includes three guest cabins, a full-beam owner’s suite, and crew quarters with two cabins and a private head, connected to a large swim platform that can feature a hydraulic Tenderlift. Exceptional joinery, craftsmanship, and premium equipment add prestige and luxury. Spacious, comfortable cabins create an ideal environment for entertaining and relaxing during long passages.
